First aid training — Parents

Knowing first aid is a must when you’re a parent. After all, we all know that children have a tendency to have accidents or fall ill.

According to the Royal Children’s Hospital, the most common place for a child to be injured is in the home. If something happened to your child in the home, would you know what to do?

Common medical emergencies to occur at home are:

  • Burns
  • Poisoning
  • Dog Bites
  • Near drowning

While supervision goes a long way, distractions do occur and accidents happen every day. Our first aid courses can give you the skills to manage the situation for the best outcome for your child.

First aid training — In the workplace

Some workplaces are certainly safer than others, but no matter where you work there are hazards that are sometimes not avoided.

Work Safe Australia statistics show that on average each year from 2003 until 2016, 20 workers die each month in the workplace. In 2016, 42% of fatalities were caused by a vehicle collision, 14% from falling from a height and 9% were hit by moving objects.

Knowing how to respond if your colleague is involved in a workplace accident, or had a sudden illness such as heart attack, stroke or asthma, is vital.
