At Selmar, we believe in minimising barriers to education. So, we’ve put together a helpful guide of everything you need to know about government funded courses, helping you start your learning journey with ease!
What is government funded training?
Government-funded training refers to courses that are subsidised by state and federal governments, making them more accessible and affordable.
This funding helps training providers deliver approved courses that are in high demand, such as in aged care and early childhood education and care. These sectors face unprecedented demand for skilled workers, and subsidising these courses ensures enough qualified professionals to care for vulnerable individuals in our communities.
Benefits for individual learners
Government funding and subsidies make studying more accessible, especially for those facing financial challenges.
Subsidised courses have lower tuition fees, reducing the financial barrier to learning. This enables quicker commencement of studies, leading to faster qualification and employment.
