What Do You Wish Someone Had Told You Before Your First Day On The Floor?

We sat down with our aged care training staff and asked them about their experience in the industry. This time, we got them to reflect back to starting in the industry with “What’s do you wish someone had told you before your first day on the floor?”

“That aged care would be the most rewarding job and that I would be very proud of the skills I would learn and how they would assist me throughout my life.” Carol.

“I wish I had of been told a bit more about dementia and the challenging behaviours that are associated with it.” Sally.

“I wish someone had told me more about the dementia ward.” Karen.

“Probably the extreme variable of the challenging behaviour that can be displayed, especially with people with dementia.” Cheryl.
