Selmar students gain pathway to University with Swinburne Online

Monday, April 29, 2019

Students studying the Diploma of Early Childhood Education (CHC50113) at Selmar will now earn academic credits toward a Bachelor of Education with Swinburne Online, creating a pathway to university for Selmar learners.

Fast-tracking a Bachelor Degree in Education has never been more accessible. Credits earned through completion of the Diploma of Early Childhood Education will typically earn Selmar students 8 credit units towards a Bachelor of Education in either Early Childhood or Primary, which consists of 32 credit units. This academic credit recognition opens up a pathway to university and a range of career opportunities.

We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our students at Selmar, enabling them to further their qualifications at a university level.

This university pathway enables them to enhance their career prospects by standing out in the job market, access a greater number of employment opportunities and gain a higher salary.

As the online delivery arm of Swinburne University of Technology, Swinburne Online delivers high quality Bachelor of Education in either Early Childhood or Primary. These qualifications are fully accredited by Swinburne University of Technology and the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), while offering flexible online study to fit in with life’s commitments.

Selmar students who are planning their career and university pathway, or those who have already completed their Diploma of Early Childhood Education with Selmar and are interested in gaining a pathway to university can find more information and download a fact sheet here.
