VILLAGE CINEMAS AUSTRALIA is setting a New Standard in Providing a Diploma of Management Qualification for Cinema Managers

Press release from Village Cinemas Australia

Following on from its success in delivering Nationally Recognised Qualifications to over 900 frontline employees, Village Cinemas Australia are pleased to announce its commitment to providing its managers with an opportunity to receive a Diploma of Management Qualification.

Village Cinemas Australia will continue its successful partnership with Registered Training Organisation, Selmar Education Institute, to deliver Nationally Accredited Training to their Cinema Managers. Managers will receive a new standard in workplace education, with a training program that has been designed and developed to not only be nationally recognised, but also specific to individual roles and responsibilities.

The training program, known as PACE (People Achieving Cinema Excellence), has been fully integrated into the Village Cinemas Management Development Program, on job coaching and mentoring programs. The Program delivers a suite of transferable skills and ensures a first class approach to the learning and development offering. The program provides career development opportunities, improves individual capabilities, promotes succession pathways and ensures consistency across all levels of management.

Kirk Edwards, Village Cinemas CEO, “We are proud to offer our Cinema managers the opportunity to complete a national qualification throughout their employment. Our people are our most important assets, and we are committed to investing in the future of our people in a tough economic environment.”
